Lead Planter: Brent and Jenna Bramer

Projected Launch: Fall 2019

San Luis Obispo (SLO) is a city of college students, business owners, young families, and retirees.  One of the first communities settled in California, SLO is a city poised for growth and the gospel. The SLO Project joins five other churches – from Los Angeles to San Francisco -that Orchard Group has helped launch in California since 2011!

SLO ranks #2 on Barna’s most Never Churched Cities/Regions list.  Studies show that only 6-10% of the population attends a local church.

Brent and Jenna Bramer have a desire in their hearts to move into the city, meet people, build relationships – live and love like Jesus – and see an awakening to the hope and transformational love of Jesus. It’s the Bramer’s mission to see the “never churched” encounter the goodness of God through a new church that is for one another and for the city.

The Bramers have over 14 years of ministry experience.  Their sending church is Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY where Brent served as Next Gen Pastor for the past 6 years. Brent has extended experience in preaching, worship, discipleship, leadership training, and mission work through his time in Haiti.

Brent is serving as the Church Planter in Residence at Mission City Church in Santa Barbara before the launch of the SLO Project.
