Christ's Church of the Valley
Our largest new church to date, averaging well over 1,000 in Sunday attendance, is Christ's Church of the Valley in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. The church moved into their first permanent facility in the summer of 2006. The building was designed to look like a movie theater, complete with a "ticket booth" in front that serves as the church information booth. The church began meeting in a movie theater, and has the web site, moviechurch.com, so they decided to continue the theme in their permanent facilities.
Brian Jones and his team are doing a terrific job in the northwest suburbs of Philadelphia. Brian recently authored a book called Second Guessing God that was published by Standard Publishing Company, and quickly sold out of its first printing. It is now in its second printing, and is having a significant impact on the Christian community.
Orchard Group continues to provide oversight to this congregation until an internal leadership team has been developed and put into place. Orchard Group also continues to partner with Christ's Church in future church planting efforts in the Philadelphia area.
