Collective Church

It’s so exciting when a church gets to sign for a new facility to worship! Collective Church has met in several venues on the west side of Los Angeles over the last three years.  Recently, they had the opportunity to move into a space that is conveniently located, with children’s space, plenty of room to grow, and parking to spare. We can’t wait to see what the next three years hold for Collective! Read more of Collective’s story

Meet Kevin from Collective Church

“I was treating church like spiritual TED talks.” Meet Kevin from Collective Church in Los Angeles Kevin was raised in a Christian home but admits it meant little to him growing up. In college, his faith became a bigger part of his life and he knew he wanted to join a local church. This led to a time of seeking, where Kevin describes, “I was sort of church shopping. Church smorgasbord-ing. I’d go here and there, where I felt Good. I’d want a good buzzy high.” The more Kevin reflected on his behavior, he felt God challenging him to see…

Meet Katie from Collective Church

“If I joined this church, these people would really know me.” Meet Katie from Collective Church in Los Angeles. Katie was following Jesus and very active in a campus ministry in college, but was not connected to a church. She started to wonder if something was missing. She met Casey and Lorenzo, lead planters of Collective, in the early stages of planning the new church. Getting involved early in the life of the church gave Katie the possibility to ask the questions she had. It also allowed her the opportunity to become invested in the lives of other people, which…

Lorenzo has shared online about how moving it is to be on the receiving end of generosity of churches like The Hills Church in Texas. I guess I was just overwhelmed by a convergence of thoughts and realizations in that moment. As I looked around that room, I…

Collective Church meets on Sundays at the University High School in Los Angeles. Collective Church Launch

from Nick Parsons, Director of Recruitment I was bristling with excitement as I saw the sign for “Collective Church Parking” and drove into the lot at University High School on the Westside of Los Angeles. Today was the culmination of 13 months of prayer meetings, core group development, and ground work that church planters Casey Fritz and Lorenzo Smith have been doing to launch Collective Church. Volunteers were busy setting up refreshments, children’s ministry workers were adjusting signage, musicians were rehearsing, and tech volunteers were troubleshooting lights and projectors. I was able to give a quick hug and hello to…
