Connection Brings Strength

The Redwood groves in California are one of nature’s wonders. These trees can grow to 275 feet high and 25 feet in diameter – large enough to drive a car through! Some of these trees are over a thousand years old, withstanding floods, fires, and strong winds.  With the tops of the trees reaching into the sky, one might assume that the roots go down hundreds of feet into the ground to support their height.  Surprisingly, the redwoods have very shallow root systems, sometimes only 12 feet deep. From Megachurch To New Church

“Church planting is incredibly challenging work.  You wear a lot of hats – entrepreneur, preacher, fundraiser, pastor, vision-caster, administrator – and you’re not always working in your areas of strength.”  Toney Salva Toney Salva was recently featured in Ozark Christian College‘s quarterly publication, The Ambassador. Toney was the lead planter for Discovery Christian Church in Pennsylvania.  Under Toney’s leadership, DCC has grown to 600 and has helped multiple churches get their start.  Toney now serves on our board and on the management team for four different church plants.  We are grateful that he makes his experience available to the church planters…
