The Gathering Harlem- One Year Celebration

Congratulations to our church family at THE GATHERING in Harlem, New York City! They celebrated their one year birthday in September. The Gathering has grown in numbers, but the leadership is also excited about the spiritual and emotional growth they’ve seen in their people.  Our prayer with all new churches is that they will grow and thrive and spread the good news of Jesus! He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Phil 1:6

Launch Sunday- The Gathering in Harlem

It’s just the beginning for The Gathering in Harlem.  Their launch Sunday was filled with energy and excitement with over 260 people.  Lead pastor Kenneth Hart preached powerfully from Luke 5 on being a “church for the unchurched.”   Jesus was proclaimed and at least one person made a personal decision to follow him!  Thank you to everyone who has donated to and prayed for this project.  Thank you to the churches who are sending volunteers and teams to support. We can’t wait to see what God will do in Harlem through this new church. Get a glimpse of Launch…

The excitement surrounding a birth is understandable. Orchard Group experiences that thrill frequently, although the waiting is of a different sort.  Incubation is a fitting description for the pre-launch phase of a new church. This stage of growth (often unseen…

Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story! Ps 107:2 Kenneth and Shanika Hart share how God has led them to start a new church in Central Harlem.  From the simple prayer, “Jesus, if you’re real, change my life,” God has transformed Kenneth and given him a new purpose for his talents. Be encouraged by Kenneth and Shanika’s stories of coming to know Jesus and growing in faith.
